My Story

Temisan Hambraeus co-founded Alstra Group to build and operate enduring businesses in essential and industrial services, with a focus on long-term ownership, disciplined capital allocation, and strong operating systems.

Temisan grew up in Stockholm, Sweden, before moving to the United States to attend the University of Michigan, where he studied Finance and African Studies. Experiencing different cultures early shaped how he thinks about institutions, incentives, and how systems scale across environments.

He began his career in private equity, working at Apollo, where he gained early exposure to institutional investing and complex transactions. He later joined Harlem Capital prior to the launch of Fund I, where he worked directly with the founding team on sourcing, diligence, and investment decision-making. During his time at Harlem Capital, Temisan helped analyze the firm’s investment pipeline to mitigate unconscious bias and participated in the investment committee process for one of the firm’s earliest investments, Aunt Flow. The experience reinforced his belief in thoughtful decision-making, diverse perspectives, and trust-based team cultures.

Temisan went on to work at KKR, where he was part of the Industrials Private Equity group. There, he led diligence and financial modeling for large, complex transactions and gained deep experience in evaluating industrial businesses, capital structures, and long-term value creation. He also worked closely with portfolio companies, helping implement ownership and incentive programs designed to better align employees with business performance.

Following KKR, Temisan moved into more entrepreneurial operating roles. At Juxtapose, he worked on company creation and platform building across tech-enabled and services businesses, supporting M&A strategy, market mapping, and early-stage operating design. He later helped launch and scale U.S. operations for an AI-driven company, where he built the revenue operations function, established data and reporting infrastructure, and developed ROI frameworks to support growth.

Across investing and operating roles, Temisan has developed a reputation for bringing structure to complex problems—designing financial systems, building scalable infrastructure, and aligning incentives so teams can execute consistently over time.

At Alstra, Temisan focuses on capital allocation, transaction structuring, M&A execution, and financial infrastructure across the platform. He works closely with operating leaders to ensure businesses are well-capitalized, thoughtfully scaled, and positioned for long-term compounding.

Temisan is motivated by building institutions that last—companies where employees have real ownership, leaders are empowered, and value is created through disciplined execution rather than short-term optimization.
